RECREATIONAL/SPORTS FACILITY PROJECT EXPERIENCE LIST


ANTHEM COUNTRY CLUB AND GOLF CLUBHOUSE
Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design for two adjacent facilities for the master planned community of Anthem.  Nestled between the foothills and golf course, the country club features an expansive exercise room and adjacent multipurpose room with massive walls of glass providing spectacular views.  Associated locker and shower facilities have also been incorporated into the building.  The golf clubhouse is the larger of the two buildings and houses a 5,200 SF function dining area (able to be partitioned into 3 spaces), a private dining area, outdoor patio dining, and an ornate bar/grill area.  All dining areas are served by a full commercial kitchen.  The golf pro shop, admin spaces, and gang restrooms round out the facility.  The electrical design also provided for lighted tennis courts and extensive landscape lighting.  Anthem, Arizona,  Currently under construction.

THE GALLERY SPORTS CLUB AT DOVE MOUNTAIN

Mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for a new 10,060 SF sports clubhouse on a 12-acre sports and fitness campus at the Dove Mountain Golf/Resort Community northwest of Tucson. The clubhouse includes a state-of-the-art fitness exercise equipment area, aerobics room, men’s and women’s locker rooms (each with steam and message rooms), and a full service snack bar. SADDLEBACK COMMUNITY CENTER
Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design for 21,000 SF community center for Robson Development. Project consists of auditorium (500 people), fitness room, meeting room and locker room. Project was designed in 2004 and is currently under construction. Utilized gas/electric units with energy recovery system for lower operating cost.

THE REFUGE

Lake Havasu is the new home of a masterfully designed Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Club called The Refuge. Sullivan Designs provided the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design for the Tuscan styled clubhouse that is in the final stages of construction. The 14,555 square foot, $4.5 Mil clubhouse which anchors a this master planned community features an elegant restaurant and bar, locker rooms, a fully equipped golf shop, and several meeting spaces within the two-story facility that overlooks the expansive lake and panoramic mountains. 2004

QUAIL CREEK COMMUNITY CENTER
Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical design for 23,000 SF community center for Robson Development. Project consisted of large auditorium/multipurpose area, five meeting rooms, lounge, office and full kitchen for food service in all areas. Designed in 2003, constructed in 2004-2005. HVAC utilized gas/electrical units with energy recovery system for lower operating cost.

WESTWING COMMUNITY CENTER
Mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for a 3,500 SF community center. The facility features a large sales showroom that will double as a recreation room in the future. Adjacent restrooms, conference room, offices, and a kitchenette/lounge round out the building. There is an expansive gated play area for children with interactive splash pad and climbing structures. $850,000.00, Peoria, Arizona 2004.

PARADISE VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB
Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical design for replacement of present Paradise Valley Country Club, new 60,500 SF dining, kitchens, swimming pool, tennis and golf pro shops, children’s center, fitness center, meeting rooms, men’s and women’s grille and locker rooms, car storage and cart charging, administration, pool equipment room with 200 ton central plant with multiple compressor evap-condenser chiller, pumps, boilers, piping and energy management system, $25M. 2002-2004

PHOENIX COLLEGE BASEBALL FIELD LIGHTING
This project consisted of retrofitting the lighting system with new fixtures on existing poles.  The existing fixtures were incandescent and fed from a 120/208 volt electrical service.  The new design included 1500 watt sports lighting fixtures fed from an upgraded 277/480 volt system.  New lighting levels were designed to be 70f.c. average in the infield (with a max to min ratio of 2.0)and 50f.c. average in the outfield (with a max to min ratio of 2.5).  The new lighting fixtures on the eight existing 70' poles increased the lighting levels on the field by a factor of 10.  Phoenix College is a Maricopa Community College in Phoenix, Arizona.  Construction cost was just over $122,000 and was completed in 2003.

PINE CANYON SALES CENTER

Mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for 3,300 SF sales center for the Pine Canyon Planned Community in Flagstaff, Arizona. The building was designed to emulate the look of a log cabin nested within the pine forested mountain, but inside it opened up into spacious sitting rooms, conference areas, and decorative corridors to the remote offices. The mechanical system incorporated split system condenser units outside and fan coil units in the pitch-roofed attic space. Flagstaff, Arizona 2003.

SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN GOLF CLUBHOUSE

Mechanical, plumbing and electrical design for a 49,000-square-foot facility that includes fine and casual dining, elegant library, full-service golf shop and well-appointed men’s and ladies locker rooms each with a private lounge, terrace, courtyard and steam room. The facility is situated on the eastern edge of the Phoenix metropolitan area at the foot of the majestic Superstition Mountains and includes 36 holes of private Nicklaus-designed golf considered to be some of the best maintained playing surfaces in the world, completed 2001.

TALKING STICK GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE
The clubhouse was designed with a Native American theme to include learning/meeting rooms, full service bar, grill kitchen and dining facilities, locker rooms and pro shop.  Inside, the intricately woven basketry, pottery, and other artifacts are on display in a collection that dates back to the turn of the century.  The extraordinary 36-hole facility built by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community gets its name from the ancient instrument used to mark significant historic events.  "GOLFWEEK" selected the North Course 82nd among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1999.
