WRIGLEY
Numerous projects at the Watkins site in Phoenix. Many projects to
modify and up-grade the mechanical and electrical system for additional capacity
in producing gum drops for a variety of well known pharmaceutical companies,
from aspirin, throat lozenges, Wrigley gum, etc. Equipment had to be in
proper humidity and temperature areas to have a successful production run.
Effort involved mechanical and electrical systems as it relates to ventilation,
temperature, and humidity. Various projects included gum curing rooms,
storage rooms for finished product, and packaging rooms. Projects
completed 2001-2002.
HORIBA
A 3,500 SF facility renovation to increase manufacturing of silicone
production by 6 times. Additional air conditioning at silicon growing area
and special air condition in shaving, polishing, and encapsulating room of 0.1
grains/lbs of moisture per pound of dry air at 70 degrees F (very low
humidity). Used desiccant dryers to remove moisture and employed a very
cold refrigeration system to keep temperature control in specialized rooms very
low. Project bid at $350K. Completed in 2001.
AXXESS TECHNOLOGIES
Facility for key manufacturing plant in existing 167,000 SF and 45,000 SF
main office area. The electrical design included a 3,000A/480V service for
the manufacturing building and a 1,200A/480V service for the office
building. The HVAC design included 350 tons of air-handling equipment and
a new central plant consisting of two 200 ton centrifugal chillers, tower pumps,
plate and frame heat exchanger, and piping system. Tempe, Arizona, 1998,
MOTOROLA AUTOMOTIVE RECTIFIER PRESSURE FIT
